campus 42 madrid
Who are we?
The 42 Madrid Fundación Telefónica programming campus opened its doors in November 2019. Located in the Innovation and Talent Hub, in the heart of Distrito Telefónica, it was the first 42 location in Spain.
The facilities cover an area of 5,000 m2 and can accommodate 900 students. They are equipped with 300 computers.
Funded by Fundación Telefónica, 42 Madrid is much more than a programming campus. It’s a training center focused on values, attitude, and the development of technical and soft skills. With a disruptive model of free, in-person training, it will equip you with the digital profiles most sought after by companies.
A unique experience
- An innovative, free learning method, open to people over 18 years of age and without the need for qualifications or prior technical knowledge.
- A philosophy centered on “learning to learn” and a methodology based on gamification and collaborative learning among its students – ‘peer to peer’ – there are no books, no schedules or lectures.
- A model aimed at developing technological skills, and at the same time transversal skills such as autonomy, resilience and adaptation to change, tolerance to frustration, creativity and, above all, teamwork, among many others.

Frequently asked questions
Sign up here. Once you’ve registered, you’ll have to pass two online tests, the first one lasting 10 minutes and the second one lasting a maximum of two hours.
You don’t need any specific training, education or qualifications, as we expect you to commit to the methodology and learning plan at 42. All we ask is for you to be of legal age.
Logical thinking skills and, above all, a resolute attitude are advisable. You have to be able to adapt and overcome difficulties. Proactivity, curiosity, creativity and teamwork are also highly desirable.
Not at all. You don’t need to have any programming skills to join us and succeed at 42.
Training at 42 is completely free of charge. There are no hidden fees, now or after 42.
At 42 we offer a study methodology that challenges our students with projects with increasing complexity. Each problem is unique and requires you to think differently alongside the other people studying on the campus.
You’ll need a place to sleep in and cover your daily costs (transport, allowances, etc.) if you don’t live in Madrid, which will be at your own expense, except for your studies at 42 which, as we mentioned, are 100% free of charge for students.
Once you’ve passed both of the online tests, you’ll be able to pre-register for the piscine, the 26-day immersive selection period on the campus.
Any person of legal age can submit an application to the campus. There’s no age limit.
The dates will be announced throughout the year by email and on our social media.
