Last Friday, 16 October, 42 Madrid Fundación Telefónica held a new graduation ceremony to recognise the students who have completed the Common Core, 42’s core curriculum and one of the main milestones in their journey through the campus.
Reaching this point means completing a learning pathway based on hands-on projects, assessments, exams and continuous problem-solving, in an environment without traditional classes, where each student learns through collaboration with the rest of the community.
The goal goes beyond mastering specific programming languages or tools. The 42 methodology is designed to develop professionals who can learn autonomously, adapt to new technologies and tackle complex problems, skills that are especially valuable in a sector evolving rapidly in areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, big data and software development.
After completing the Common Core, students can continue to deepen their knowledge in different areas of specialisation and further develop their professional profile. The cursus is continuously updated to respond to the evolving needs of the technology market.
42 Madrid now has 291 students who have completed this stage, strengthening a growing community of technological talent since the campus opened in 2019.
Graduation therefore represents much more than the end of one stage: it is the result of a different way of learning technology and the beginning of a new professional chapter for its students.
