A new Piscine Discovery Women’s Edition is kicking off from 3 to 7 October, bringing together more than 100 women participants. Over these five days, they will learn HTML, CSS and JavaScript, as well as experience 42 Madrid’s innovative methodology first-hand. Along the way, they will gain technical knowledge related to web development while also strengthening key soft skills.
Remember that you can still secure your place for the next Piscine Discovery Women’s Edition, taking place from 24 to 28 October. We invite you to take part in this disruptive, in-person experience, which will give you the opportunity to discover what 42 is really like, completely free of charge.
The 42 Method
At Fundación Telefónica, we promote and develop initiatives designed to help build an education and training system that removes gender stereotypes associated with certain careers and professions, while fostering female empowerment in STEAM disciplines from the earliest stages of education.
One of these initiatives has been the opening of four 42 campuses, the most innovative places in the world to train for some of today’s most in-demand professions. But what has made the 42 methodology one of the most disruptive educational models?
It is free, in person, and has no traditional classrooms, books or teachers. The campuses are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is no age limit, and no previous academic background or programming knowledge is required.
The 42 method focuses on project-based learning and teamwork rather than theoretical instruction. It also incorporates the latest educational innovations to prepare the next generation of leading IT talent.
